Explainer

Checkpoints capture a serializable snapshot of agent state — including context, progress, and intermediate results — at defined intervals. If the agent crashes, times out, or is preempted, execution resumes from the last checkpoint rather than restarting from scratch. Essential for long-running tasks and multi-step pipelines.
